Ramones - End of The Century

Ever since i found out Tom Waits covered Danny Say's I've been wanting to revisit this album. I did. It was worth the re-listen. It's a different kind of ramones album its slower and more produced, but it still keeps that ramones sounding fun.

we can't go surfing cuz its 20 below!

Hasil Adkins

Now here's a man that we can look up to, the wild man of boone county, the haze, one of or the finest musician west virginia ever borned. This guy is crazy he would get in shoot outs, drive his car drunk into polls with women in the back seat and well he plays damn fine music. Great one man band rockabilly type country. HIGHLY RECOMENDED

Life is a Problem

gospel compilation. not your average gospel album their are some really good overdriven blues songs, old gospel recordings. great stuff. get it.

But Where there is life, there is hope

David Byrne And Brian Eno - Everything That Happens Will Happen Today

I dont know what to call this album genre wise, wikipedia said it was folktronica i think they could be on to something. David Byrne when talking about the creatio the album said, In a nutshell, Brian wrote most of the music, and I composed most of the vocal melodies and lyrics, and then sang them." Its a pretty wild album but i wouldn't expect anything else from these two men.
My only complaint is the cover art, really, cmon, is that the best they could do?

folktronica?

Whitehouse - Right To Kill

Fuckin wild noise album. These guys are credited to have started power electronics. Real dark heavy shit right here. The constant cracks and hums of electricity power this album's background while the muffled sounds of a man scream paints a dark foreground of sound and insanity.

Crocodiles - Summer of Hate

just get it, its good

Mystic Fugu Orchestra - Zohar

"From the inventive minds of John Zorn and Yamantaka Eye comes an intimate and highly original duo project inspired by historical recordings of ancient Judaica. The Mystic Fugu Orchestra masquerades as "newly discovered" recordings from the Mystical tradition of Kabbalah - paralleling 14th century author Moses de Leon's original presentation of of his Kabbalistic classic "The Zohar" or "Book of Splendors" as having been discovered by him and actually written by Rabbi Simeon ben Yohai centuries before. Humorous, touching, traditional, irreverent, perplexing, soulful. A sound that could only come about with years of friendship, empathy and collaboration, The Mystic Fugu Orchestra will surprise and delight you as yet another unusual direction in music from these two masters of the unexpected." Tzadik Press Release, Taken from Bravo Juju.blogspot.com

LSD March - Jurando

Japanese folk music, It has a nice lo-fi sound that makes it sound like they're playing in the same room your sitting in.

The Tallest Man on Earth - Shallow Grave

Really good folk. Awesome crooning voice, great dark lyrics, lovely pickins on the banjo and guitar. I mean, what more can you ask for? If you like folk or bluegrass at all, then get this pronto... This guy's playin Pitchfork Fest this year too, so look out for him.

So now we're dancing through the garden
And what a garden I have made
And now that death will grow my jasmine
I find it soothing I'm afraid

(Yeah that's right, I made a link out of a whole verse. Got a problem with that?)

Toe - For Long Tomorrow

Japanese post-rock that's really contemplative and beautiful.... there is fast and complex (and impressive) drumming in this, but it is much more gentle... Fleeting vibes and melodies... Makes me think of running around in a city or something. Really light and pretty, it embodies the quietly beautiful complexities of Japan itself.

hey y'all

this is a join operation my name is spencer and i used to have one of these then i forgot the password but theres like 20 some good albums on my old one heres a link enjoy

Bone Awl

black metal with a hint of hardcore and a dash of punk 2 albumz for ya here

KMD - Black Bastards

if you like rap listen to this i do believe MF Doom is in this and q-tip from tribe plays a hand in this album. not 100 percent positive on that but i am 100 percent positive that this album will get you groovin'

Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase

Just to give you an idea, this is elevator music on acid. Really mellow and beautiful, but also groovy. It's just so easy to get lost in it. Really wonderful and distorted. It's just so cool. Whenever I listen to this for like five minutes, I'm thinking deeply about outer space and stuff. Just get it and float away with it.

Hella - Hold Your Horse Is

INSANE spazz-rock. These guys are a technical marvel, and the drums make my head explode. Really fast spastic goes wild check it out. Really hits ya between the eyes when you first hear it.

DURESS - Indifference 7"

Best local hardcore punk/thrash band, by far. If really angry music is your thing, then you gotta get this brand-new EP of theirs. Or better yet, see these guys live. The singer throws cinderblocks and gets concussions and whatnot. Great experience.

guilt fucking guilt
