Giraffes? Giraffes! - More Skin with Milk-Mouth

Cool spastic math-rock, don't really have time to go in-depth here because I'm eating leftover bratwurst right now so just listen to one of its songs and see if you like it. It's sounding really nice in my living room right now.

Incapacitants - As Loud As Possible

Wikipedia says it best:
Incapacitants (インキャパシタンツ Inkyapashitantsu?) are a Japanese noise music group formed in 1981. It consists of Toshiji Mikawa and Fumio Kosakai, whose stated aim is to produce "pure" noise, uninfluenced by musical ideas or even human intention, using primarily feedback, vocals, and various electronics. Kosakai calls this sound "hard noise", as a nod to hard bop.[1]

The performances of Incapacitants--the physically incongruous combination of Hijo Kaidan member T. Mikawa and former C.C.C.C. member Fumio Kosakai--are so wide-open that they explode the usual image of noise music. The noise sound is completely integrated with the convulsive, leaping, swinging movement of the musicians' bodies--one big, the other small. This is conveyed to listeners in such a direct way that the question "What is noise?" becomes meaningless.
–Yuichi Jibiki, Eater

This is HARD noise! Some of the hardest shit I've listened to since Noise Ramones. An arresting goddamn experience that is obviously not for everyone. Here's a video of them playing in the woods of Tajima, Fukushima just to give you an idea of what they're all about. Classic 80's Japanese noise! never gets old for me.

Cassiber - A Face We All Know

I like my rock and roll weird and interesting (and... shall I say, disconcerting?) and Cassiber delivers all that in spades. A source of inspiration for the likes of Yoshihide Otomo and his band Ground-Zero, it is German improvisational avant-garde rock that just does all sorts of really interesting songs unlike anything I've ever heard. Perhaps it is comparable to the likes of John Zorn type stuff (but they don't use sax in this album). Some of the sounds consist of German-accented vocals wailing and commanding through sound effects, all types of goofy organs, bass plucks, and awesome drumming. It crosses genres, moods, styles and expectations, in funny and unnerving ways. I'm doing you all a favor exposing you to this ingenious and innovative band, and I'll be sure to post their other albums shortly.

Animal Collective - Fall Be Kind

This EP came out a while ago, but since I've noticed that most Animal Collective fans I've talked to haven't heard of it, let alone listened to it, I feel it behooves all of us to have it up on the Knuckles. This album has a unique sound for AC: Pensive, deep, moody, but very trippy while still being distinctly Animal Collective. It departs from their energetic, ecstatic kids-running-around-in-the-sprinkler sort of sound that you heard in their Merriwether sound. These guys have calmed the fuck down on this album and it works out great because then it draws you in slowly and becomes more atmospheric and shit. This was the First Animal Collective album I listened to (a late bloomer for that bandwagon, I know) so I may have some bias, but this goes out as my favorite Animal Collective album listened to thus far. A darker, more mature experience, like the introspective experience of a nightime drug trip in the woods as opposed to the bikeride acid trip in the middle of the day feel of their other albums. Let's see how their upcoming album pans out; I heard they're going back to their noise roots, so that'll be exciting to say the least.

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing.....

Collages of beats, grooves and other such shit to make really cool instrumental hip-hop. It's funky, it's groovy, it's interesting and has lots of really enjoyable moments to it. Dig it.

Boards of Canada - Geogaddi

I know I've posted way too much Boards of Canada on this blog, but it would be dumb of me not to put this one up. Fuck all their other albums I posted; this shit is dark, unnerving, and cool as fuck. Has lots of warped and distorted melodies with weird vocal loops and ominous moods, tones, etc. Very weird, groovy music that sometimes does nothing, but sometimes hits that sweet spot of strangeness and scariness and is something you want to listen to again and again. Personal favorite BoC album

Battles - Gloss Drop

Amazing album, way better than their last one. Awesome math rock, great percussions, weird as hell and really energized. Yamataka Eye is featured on one of the songs, but he doesn't do much. Im not in love with every single song on this album, but when it's good, it's really really really good.

Harry Pussy - What Was Music? A: In an Emergency...

Harry Pussy is comprised of this really insane married couple who make some of the most bizarre noise rock that is comparable to banging together garbage cans while people are trying to sleep. Sounds sort of like early Boredoms, except with more guitar and it makes you want to cry. Incredible. This is seriously what Sex Pistols should've sounded like if they wanted to not suck.

V/A - Helter Skelter

compilation tape of Japanese noise music from 1986. 26 minutes of pure hell featuring the works of Merzbow and Null as well as live recordings of Hanatarash and Hijokaidan. A rare and not well-known release that all fans of Japanese noise should pick up. The Merzbow track is fudgeing awesome

Zach Hill - Face Tat

Zach Hill is the drummer from Hella, and Face Tat is the coolest fucking album ever. It came out not too long ago, and I'm just blown away by both the technical mastery and the chaotic energy of it. Not only is Zach one of the best drummers around, but he's a fucking mad man and puts together some of the most energizing punk-noise chaos around. This album is like a cross between Boredoms, Black Lips, Hella, dirty synth music and amphetamines. There's a fierce energy pulsing through this whole thing and it's just a great listen. Just watch the video below, its from a song on the albummm. This guy's a fucking champ.

R@d1oh3@d - Th3 K1ng 0f L1mß5

Its a pretty damn short album, but it has a lot of nice dark pretty moments that I dig. If you liked the quieter moments of Kid A and In Rainbows, then I say go for it.
BTW, the link is in .FLAC format. Anyone can use .FLAC very easily, but I think .FLAC files have to be reformatted if you want to play it in iTunes. I recommend using the free program XLD if you're a mac user.
Also, the link might say that it is "temporarily unavailable", but keep trying, it has not been deleted, at least not yet. It'll work after a few tries. I think it just says this a lot because the link is being used so much that it gets busy and shit.

Forest Creature - Frustrated Analogue

I first heard about these guys when one of their songs (from this album) popped up on Pitchfork.com for a bit last year. I thought it was catchy, and hunted down a link for the one album they put out(turns out this link was actually released by the band). Each song is its own noise-drone piece, normally with some aggressive synthetic loops of sound and tones. This album is for fans of the band Fuck Buttons, and who are looking for the next level of that kind of madness. It's intermediate-level Fuck Buttonry; much more raw, simplistic and devoid of vocals. Highly worth a listen to anyone who likes to just zone out on some weird shit. Definitely not the easiest music to listen to, but is still kind of addicting. I've been listening to this album since last year, and still I find myself putting it on just to have a freak out of some sort. And it still does the trick.

Vladislav Delay - Multila

Often regarded as Sasu Ripatti (aka Vladislav Delay)'s best work. The sounds he makes are really unlike any noise or ambient I ever heard. The noises are deep, churning, organic, and dark as fuck: sounds that provoke the mind to imagine dead bodies slowly crawling out of the deepest oceans. Or maybe that's just me. Either way, Multila sounds like the artifact of some failed scientific attempt to record the vibrations of the Earth's crust on acetate vinyl. A must listen for those who have a taste for weird noises and burps on the digital whatever machine.

Akron/Family - Love Is Simple

Some dank folk tribal rock with tambourines and shit. A lot of the album consists of fun playful jams with whatever instruments they have at the studio that day, but often times the album just goes fucking weird on you with some really cool dark weird territories (namely the primal freakout in the song "Lake Song/New Ceremonial Music for Moms", which is the best song on the album). All around a fun and unique rock experience, with plenty of sweet jams and enough left turns and wildness to be worth a listen.

Kriegshog-S/T and Hardcore Hell

TWO FOR ONE POST INSANITY
If you're anything like us at robin williams' knuckles this is the kinda shit that will rock your world. Kriegshog is aggressive as all hell, and noisy to boot, also they are from japan which is always a plus around here. This is some powerful shit. One of the best hardcore bands I've heard in a long time and possibly ever. These guys are really something MUST LISTEN

Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa-How Fly

IT's been awhile since anyone has posted anything on here but we are back with more jamz for y'all. This one is a miztape by Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa. I like this album because in my opinion it's a really nice example of where rap is right now. With extremely catchy beats paired with lyrics delivered with style that would make a pimp blush, this album is must listen to for fans of rap made in the 2000's.

Mama Rosin-Tu As Perdu Ton Chemin

Ragged and dirty Zydeco Straight from the bayou's of switzerland, yes thats right switzerland. These guys could wake the swamp itself with their high energy, low-down,garage rockin-zydeco.
The Cajun Saying, "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez"(let the good time's roll) describes the feeling of the album as whole. Each song feels like you're staying longer at a creole kegger in some welcoming swamp town.

White Ring-Suffocation

White Ring plays witch house with haunting female vocals. The suffocation E.P. is one song remixed by a bunch of different artist. Each artist gives a surprisingly fresh spin on the song making the album seem like it is in fact all different songs.

Musica Futurista: The Art of Noises-V/A

A nice collection of early noise and futurist music ranging from 1909-1930. The first half of the album is mainly piano. The piano is angry, lonesome, and unstable, creating an ominous insanity, followed by uncomfortable silences, leading into smooth piano melodies. But the real gems are the two Luigi Russolo recordings, risveglio di una citto and esempi sonori di. The horror movie screeches and howls overcast a gurgles from hell. This is a very cool pice of history and art and shit like that.
